The theme song for Múmú Ci is called “Perfect Fit” by Miss Lonely.
Welcome to the world of Múmú Ci and Pipen!
Múmú Ci is a brand new YouTube series created by Darin Steckler of Edmonton, in a style of 2D animation that has never been seen before. It’s about two young women (BFFs) named Múmú Ci & Pipen who are from the planet Ookou. They go to Earth for a weekend to raise shit and buy shoes, but soon realize that they can’t get back home. Múmú is slated for dissection, but being the pragmatic one, Múmú is more concerned with the realities of living in a big city without any money or a green card. So the girls treat their impending fate with an irreverence that today’s youth can relate to. Múmú’s pragmatism is also evident in how she deals with threats: you threaten her or Pipen and you die…no pissing around!
The series is character driven but every scene will be esthetically pleasing and there is a plot that has the same depth as The Da Vinci Code. As you will see in the opening episode, Múmú’s heritage has similar origins to our own ancient Egyptians. Think Thelma and Louise meet the cast of Sex and the City…it’s going to be sexy, folks!
Pipen writes a diary which you can find at Pipen to Pipen on mumuci.com.
The biggest musical act on all of planet Ookou is a band called Miss Lonely. In the opening scene of episode one, the audience will be introduced to the band. The actual band is: Darin Steckler, Don Ehret and Cayley Thomas (Múmú). Every song that is introduced in the series is by Miss Lonely and you can check out the theme song for the Múmú Ci Soundtrack, Perfect Fit, on MySpace.
Darin Steckler can create custom made images and videos and could create a short video where Múmú and Pipen are talking about their favorite fashion magazine or any product. He can dress his characters in a designer’s new collection (as long as they promote those images or video) and can provide you with a custom made video and fashion layout to your specifications. He’s open to any suggestions you have! This is a fantastic opportunity for some great cross promotion!
There are bigger players than Múmú Ci but Múmú & Pipen take over where Xena & Gabrielle left off. Throw in a hint of sexual tension reminiscent of Xena & Gabrielle, drop them in New York, surround them with an Alice in Wonderland cast and you’ve got Múmú Ci…it’s about time for girls to rule again!
